Deserts
A desert is an area that has less than 25 cm of precipitation per year
Deserts are characterised by having scarse vegetation, and the organisms that live in deserts are specially adapted to withstand or avoid water stress.
Deserts can be classified as Arid, Semi-Arid, Costal or Polar. See the slideshows below for images and general info.
